Everytime this conversation comes up, everyone starts off bashing it and using the same old stereotypes of racist/redneck fans. That in itself is pathetic. True stereotypes exist for a reason the majority of lower/class white americans enjoy nascar, but not all of the fans are "white trash" hillbillies. I myself am a fan and I own a Z, come from a upper class family, just graduated college, and am going to Daytona next week. The arguement that nascar is not racing is even more ridiculous because of the fact that all early forms of racing started in a oval. I don't like domestic autos, but I can still appreciate the fact that it is racing and these drivers do have talent and stamina to do what they do. I guess its not for everyone, but please respect the fact that some people do enjoy it.
